ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for overseeing all plant finance and accounting functions including A/R, A/P, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger
- Ability to coach, develop, and manage a team of approx. 3 direct reports
- Identifies EBIT and margin improvement opportunities
- Manages the monthly close, and aids in monthly forecast, and annual budget.
- Performs monthly financial reports and explains results in detail
- Performs ongoing review of internal controls to ensure accounting procedures and financial reports are in compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and Silgan internal accounting policies.Demonstrated ability to streamline processes through documentation, training, and technology
- Serves as backup for A/R, A/P and Plant Controller when necessary.
- Supports internal and external audits
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in manufacturing, accounting, or supervisory roles preferred.
- Previous experience demonstrating leadership of projects
- Advanced proficiency and experience with Microsoft Excel and related financial systems.
- Experience with SAGE (or other modern ERP systems), Planful Analytics or Business Intelligence software preferred
- Excellent communication skills including: written, verbal, and interpersonal
- Ability to communicate complex topics in an effective and concise manner
- Process-driven with proven analytic and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to see the “big picture” while maintaining a strong attention to detail
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequently required to sit and walk.
- Occasionally required to walk up and down stairs.
- Frequently required to talk and hear.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (12 kg).
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23 kg).
- Vision ability including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
Pay Range: $90,000 – $100,000
