Maintenance Technician III- Spokane, WA

The Maintenance Technician III installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production equipment in compliance with company and regulatory requirements. The Maintenance Technician III also oversees, guides and mentors Maintenance staff members.
Location: Spokane, WA
Wage: $27 to $30 per hour

Openings:

Shift: Swing Shift, 2:00PM-10:30PM, Monday thru Friday. eligible for shift differential

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversees and completes the documentation for all new machine set ups.
  • Assignment of work to Maintenance Technicians as well as oversight of that work to ensure completion of tasks.
  • Identifies and implements strategies to improve machine downtime and set-up/ teardown / changeover efficiency.
  • Signs off that set-ups performed by Maintenance and Operations personnel are complete and ready for production.
  • Writes troubleshooting guides as needed
  • Maintains machinery for all production operations
  • Sustains awareness of production schedules and needs
  • Monitors production equipment to ensure a quality product
  • Complies with all procedural requirements
  • Ensures that all Maintenance staff comply with all procedural requirements
  • Performs troubleshooting, adjustments, and preventative maintenance of production machinery.
  • Performs machine set up and changeovers on assigned equipment and production lines.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service
  • Ensures equipment manuals and work instruction changes needed are properly elevated and communicated to Engineering
  • Follows guidelines to ensure machinery, room, and materials are in compliance with QSR/ISO requirements
  • Ensures Maintenance staff is fully up to date with required trainings.
  • Identifies and implements necessary documentation for compliance and works with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance
  • Ensures compliance with GMP, QSR/ISO, FDA, OSHA, and all other regulatory requirements, in accordance with company policy.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures for operating equipment and handling raw materials and finished goods.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Regular attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of manufacturing production experience preferred.
  • Associate’s degree or certification in related field preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical systems diagnosis.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand, and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret written policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing product flows.
  • Ability to recognize and adhere to quality standards.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.
  • Ability to work independently with little instruction.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to complete projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • 2 years’ experience in an FDA regulated manufacturing facility preferred.
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Good math skills.
  • Ability to complete paperwork fully and correctly.
  • Prior experience directing the work of others.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently required to sit and walk.
  • Frequently required to walk up and down stairs.
  • Frequently required to talk and hear.
  • Required to stand 3-4 hours at a time.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (12 kg).
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23 kg).
  • Fine motor control to grasp ad manipulate objects.
  • Frequently required to bend at the waist and knees.
  • Frequently required to reach.
  • Vision ability including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently required to work with products that contain chemicals or may contain hazardous materials. MSDS sheets are provided.
